Zo

Meet the Artists

@yougo.inkzozo

My name Is Zoë. I grew up in the Caribbean, loving art in all its forms. For a very long time growing up I struggled to express myself and be confident in who I was in my own body and then, I got my first tattoo. I was exhilarated with this new found confidence I had and found myself taking more pictures of myself, going out more, meeting new people and sharing my experiences with others. For the first time in my life I was able to be happy in my own skin. I loved the idea of being able to share that same feeling by creating a safe space for people to come and share their ideas and stories with me while I worked with them to create a new piece of them through my work in tattooing. Tattoos are very special in peoples lives where they can express their emotions and thought through art on their bodies and it’s a privilege every time I get the opportunity to do a tattoo for a person. If I can help someone feel better about their body and image through my work then everything I do towards that is worth it.

Miya

@miyan0tmia

I'm Miya! I'm just a London girl trying to channel her creativity in any way she can in a city full of artists. I used to think that art did not equal a career until I found myself in a university lecture doodling in the corner of my page instead of paying attention to my lecturer. Trying to follow a more conventional career path just didn't make sense when all I wanted to do was draw.

I specialise in more textural, abstract art which adorn your body and occasionally some random quirky characters. I really believe in more unconventional art and that as long as you love something, that's reason enough to turn it into a sick tattoo.

Tattooing became everything when I realised how much it can change the way someone looks at themselves, the confidence and self-love it brings. To be able to create cool art with another person, collaborate and share ideas is the dream for me, and in the end you get a beautiful piece of body art to stay with you forever.

Beca

@bumbaclarke_ink

Hey, I’m Beca!! I’m an artist that specialises in blackwork and really enjoys shaded work as well!

I got into tattooing because i’ve been passionate about art since a young age and have always thought that someone else wanting your art on them forever is so special. I’m looking forward to meeting more lovely people and growing my career in the future :)

Lis

@lisinktattoos

Hi my name is Lis! As a kid I was always obsessed with anything art related and always wanted to have a creative job even though I thought that would be completely out of reach. I am so happy to be doing my dream job and making people feel better about their bodies with the art I give them. It is so special to be putting art on peoples bodies and learning about who they are and what brought them here and what inspired their tattoos. With every tattoo I’m making little me proud who never thought this was even a possibility. And seeing the smiles on peoples faces after getting tattooed makes my heart so happy that their body now tells a story of who they are and where they came from. Every day tattooing I learn something new and I adore every second of it <3

Em

@emzpokez

My name is Em, and I am a queer, neurodivergent handpoke artist. I have always loved art in all its many forms, and as a true ADHDer I have probably tried every kind of art or craft, and have a huge collection of abandoned projects… however I found that hand poke tattooing was something I fell in love with, and kept coming back to, so I decide to put more of my time and energy into it, and here we are! I love the process of doing a stick and poke, and taking time with each client to have a good yap and create a super cool, unique tattoo!

I have a degree in experimental art and performance, which allowed me to experiment with tattooing in the context of live art or gallery work. I also wrote my dissertation about tattooing in performance art, exploring the ethics and care practices when taking the practice of tattoo outside of the studio. Check out my Instagram @e.m.Jenkins to view some of my experimental art!

Em is our studio’s dedicated stick & poke artist, specialising in hand-poked tattoos created without a machine.

This method gives a softer, more organic finish and is perfect for those who love a detailed, personal touch.
